100th Day of School at CISH

Early years celebrated the 100th day of school with their exhibition and dressing up.

All students in Early Years have been preparing their posters.  The purpose of these posters was to have each child count and present 100 different items. This way they were working with their families and counting to 100. In the classes, students were checking each other’s work counting all the items on the posters. K3-2 has even been counting the number of days every day since the beginning of the school year.

Teachers prepared special Math lessons for the day that included activities that could bring more awareness of the number 100.

K3 took time to add up the ages of their class members. Ms Anna’s class discovered that together their ages made up 95 years.

What a sight when all the kindergarten students had a special parade as 100-year-old people for PYP students. With powder in their hair and glasses, the students hobbled along pretending to be 100 years old! A fun day was had by all and it was a wonderful day where we learned all about 100.

At the end of the day the students got to take one of the 100 balloons on display home with a lolly-pop.

Thank you to all Teachers and Parents for their support.
