Admissions
CISH welcomes students from all over the world, based on their academic and social skills. Applications for admissions at the Canadian International School of Hefei are accepted throughout the academic year, which runs from September to the following end of June.

STEP 1 - APPLICATION

The following documents are required to be provided in FULL for application to be processed:

  • Completed and signed CISH Admissions Package
  • Application Fee 2000RMB(non refundable)
  • Scanned copy of Student’s passport
  • Scanned copy of Student's valid Chinese visa
  • Scanned copy of Student’s Birth Certificate
  • Scanned copy of up-to-date Health and Vaccination Records
  • Scanned copies of Parents/Guardians’ Passports
  • Scanned copies of Parents' valid Chinese visa
  • Scanned copy recent passport-sized photographs
  • Scanned copy of School Transcripts/Report Cards for the last 2 years (in English)
  • Recommendation letter of teacher (in English)
  • Scanned copy of School Reference, Awards, or Recognitions (when available)
  • Scanned copy of Proof of Medical Insurance

IMPORTANT NOTES
Admissions files cannot be processed, nor students placed on waiting lists, until all of the above material have been provided to the Admissions Office.
In those cases where the application is rejected, all information contained in the application will be sealed and will not be reopened unless there is a further application at a later date. It will be kept on file as a legal document for 5 years before being destroyed.
Accepted students are placed on a waiting list strictly in chronological order by date of completed application.
Priority is given to:
-CIS Alumni: returning students
-Siblings: siblings of students already enrolled in the school


STEP 2 - STUDENT ASSESSMENT  

Upon the completion of the application and the payment of the application fees, appointments will be made for parent interview and student assessment.
This assessment will test the ability of the student to speak, listen, read and write in the English Language, as well as other academic skills.
After the assessment is completed the parents will be informed of the results. Grade and ESOL placement are recommended based on the results.

STEP 3 – ACCEPTANCE  

A formal acceptance letter and invoice will be issued after the completion of Steps 1 and 2.
