Hercus Theron

Hercus Theron is in his first year as a PYP English Acquisition Teacher at CISH. He was born in South Africa and grew up in a small town called Hoekwil in the picturesque garden route. Hercus received his Bachelor of Technology degree from Nelson Mandela University in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth), South Africa in 2015. Prior to his studies he spent 7 years working in the ICT field as an installations technician and obtained various certificates and diplomas. Before coming to China Hercus worked in the tourism trade and successfully managed a small private game lodge. He also has vast experience as a manager in the service industry. Hercus has been in China since January 2020 and has worked as an English teacher at training centers before joining CISH. In his first year at CISH Hercus taught ICT to grades 1 – 5.

Hercus enjoys many outdoor activities including rugby, snorkeling, geocaching, hiking and has recently started magnet fishing. He comes from a family of teachers and is passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
