Elise Cormier

Being fluently bilingual in French and English, she taught for 32 years in French immersion classroom mostly at grade 5 level. Miss Cormier was very respected by her colleagues and was active in many professional duties such as being a member of the provincial council.

This certainly showed her commitment to always going beyond what’s required in order to be able to share with her students the best teaching methods possible.

Since her retirement, Miss Cormier has taught in China and is now the Librarian at the Canadian International School of Hefei. She has developed a passion for children’s books and making the library a friendly learning environment for all.

Amid her busy schedule, she has time for leisure and hobbies. Miss Cormier is an avid traveler and traveled to many countries in Europe, Asia as well as Central America. She also loves cycling and is a longtime member of a book club with her Canadian friends.
