● Community Events at Our School: Celebrating Diversity, Compassion, and Joy

● Our school community is vibrant and inclusive, and we take pride in hosting a variety of events throughout the year that bring us together to celebrate, learn, and give back. Here’s a glimpse into some of the highlights:

● Y Teddy Bears Picnic: Our youngest learners in the Early Years kick off the year with a delightful Teddy Bears Picnic! This cherished event is a wonderful opportunity for children, their families, and their favorite stuffed friends to enjoy games, stories, and outdoor fun, fostering a sense of belonging and joy.

● CISH International Day: A celebration of our diverse community! International Day is a colorful showcase of cultures, traditions, and cuisines from around the world. Students, staff, and families come together to share performances, food, and stories, highlighting the beauty of our global connections.

● The Terry Fox Run: Inspired by the legacy of Terry Fox, our school participates in this annual run to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. Students, teachers, and families join hands (and feet!) to honor Terry’s courage and determination while contributing to a meaningful cause.

● Halloween: Spooktacular fun awaits during our Halloween celebrations! From creative costumes to pumpkin decorating and themed activities, this event brings out the playful spirit in everyone. It’s a day filled with laughter, creativity, and a touch of mystery.

● Christmas: The holiday season is a time of warmth and togetherness at our school. Our Christmas celebrations include festive performances, carol singing, and community gatherings that spread cheer and remind us of the importance of kindness and giving.

● Lunar New Year: We ring in the Lunar New Year with vibrant festivities that honor Asian cultures and traditions. From dragon dances to lantern-making, this event is a joyful way to learn about and celebrate the rich heritage of the Lunar New Year.

● The Giving Tree – Student Council Donation: Led by our compassionate Student Council, The Giving Tree initiative is a heartwarming effort to support those in need during the holiday season. Students and familiesdonate gifts and essentials, embodying the spirit of generosity and making a positive impact in our wider community.
