WELCOME TO CISH ATHLETICS AND ACTIVITIES

At the Canadian International School of Hefei (CISH), athletics and co-curricular activities are regarded as an integral component of the educational experience. The school is committed to fostering holistic student development, recognizing that learning extends beyond the classroom. Through a comprehensive range of programs, students are encouraged to explore personal interests, cultivate new skills, and build meaningful connections. Participation in athletics, the arts, and service opportunities promotes not only personal growth but also the development of leadership, collaboration, and school identity.

PROGRAM FOCUS AND SCHOOL SPIRIT

The CISH athletics and activities program emphasizes participation, commitment, and personal excellence. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves, support their peers, and demonstrate resilience in the face of new experiences. School spirit is central to our community, expressed through pride in representing both house teams and school teams. Core values such as respect, integrity, leadership, and teamwork are consistently reinforced, ensuring that students develop as responsible and well-rounded individuals.

SPORTS AND PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

CISH offers a balanced and inclusive program that provides opportunities for students of all interests and abilities. The school maintains three core sports for both boys’ and girls’ teams: volleyball, football, and basketball. These serve as the foundation of the athletics program across multiple age levels. In addition to athletics, the After School Activities (ASA) program provides diverse opportunities in creative arts, performing arts, academic enrichment, and service learning. This breadth of programming allows students to complement their academic studies with meaningful co-curricular experiences.
