CISH University Counselling strives to guide students to their best-fit option for higher education through holistic, student-centered support personalized to each family.
The Journey of a Global Citizen: Academic and personal growth is best served when the student finds their “fit” in a university community. Our goal is to utilize every student’s unique profile to support and guide them through the different choices available. Our aim is to cultivate student’s interests, ambitions, and strengths and link them with a post-secondary community in which they will thrive, realizing our mission statement of becoming active global citizens.
All for One: in their final years students face many landmarks including final exams, college entrance exams, and essay writing. Here at CISH, students and parents can rest assured that they are supported by not only the university counselor, but also their teachers and school community as a whole.
A Bird’s Eye View
We provide personalized guidance to help students explore post-secondary options, navigate university applications, and make informed decisions that align with their talents and aspirations. As students move from Grade 9 to Grade 12, our support becomes increasingly specialized to meet their individual needs.
Following our vision of inspiring young minds to seek purpose and shape the future towards the betterment of local and global communities, Grade 11 students begin a two-year course led by the university counselor, encouraging them to reflect on their identity, interests, talents, and the impact they want to have on the world. By Grade 12, this course focuses on helping students craft their personal statements, request letters of recommendation from teachers, and complete their university applications.
Among other serivces, we pride ourselves in offereing year round, one-on-one guidance sessions, parent-student information sessions, on-site university representative visits, and our very own universtiy fair.
