Hello Prospective CISH Family, 


The Canadian International School of Hefei would like to sincerely thank you for your interest in our institution and we look forward to potentially welcoming you to our learning community. To help clarify our admissions process, we hope the following checklist will be of use:


1. Connect with our Admissions Team (Email: david.adams@cishefei.com - WeChat ID: CISHAdmissions – Phone: +86-05516281-8207) with any potential questions or concerns that you may have. Please also feel free to have a look at our Official Website.


2. Start an application on our Admissions Portal ,OpenApply. Please fill in as much information as possible. OpenApply will also provide a list of documents to upload. Please upload as many of these documents as you have available. If there are documents that you do not have yet, they can be uploaded at a later point in time.

3. Pay the 2000 RMB non-refundable Application Fee.


4. Coordinate with our Admissions Team to schedule a time for a Family Visit to campus.


5. Visit our school and become acquainted with the CISH campus, staff, and facilities. The following steps 6-9 can all be completed during the family visit.


6. Students applying for Grades 1 through 12 will complete a WIDA English Language Assessment to help determine if any possible language learning assistance will be needed.


7. Meet with our Head of School, Principal, and/or Vice Principal to have an interview. This interview allows us to be more acquainted with your child as an individual, determine if CISH is the right place for your child, and to discuss enrollment options.



8. If admitted to CISH, coordinate with the Admissions Team to finalize:

  • Class Placement 

  • Bus Placement 

  • Meal Plan Selection 

  • Uniform ordering details 

  • House Placement

9. Deposit relative fees with our finance department.


10. Complete all remaining fields in OpenApply, including vaccination records, completed Health Check Form, and any other required fields.


11. Receive a Welcome Pack detailing all relevant information your Homeroom Teacher would want you to have, including school policies, communication channels, and lesson schedules.


12. Provide health check from a designated health center.


13. Come to your first day of school at CISH.


14. Grow into your full potential as an International Baccalaureate Family destined for a brighter future.
