Security
Security guards are stationed at the school gate 24 hours per day and patrol the campus regularly. Any visitors to the school, including parents, must show a proper ID to enter the campus. Visitors will be required to sign in with the guards and will receive a visitor’s badge which must be worn in a visible manner throughout their visit on campus.
Parents on Campus
Parents should notify the school if they intend to visit the campus - this will help to help save time at the gate. Teachers are always happy to involve parents in the classroom in a planned and coordinated manner. Parents are more than welcome to attend special events on campus, when invited. Parents are not permitted to drop into classrooms unexpectedly as this can be disruptive to learning. Parents who visit the school are expected to do so with a specific purpose and should not simply be lingering on campus. Please contact the appropriate school Principal or Head of School if you would like access to any part of the school for a specific reason.
At no time should parents be taking photos or videos of students who are not their own children. Parents may not post pictures of students online or through social media who are not their own children.
CCTV cameras are positioned throughout the campus, including in classrooms. CCTV video footage is monitored by the security team and is stored for a limited amount of time (two months) on the school's servers. CCTV cameras are capable of recording in dark conditions, even when lighting is switched off. For confidentiality and protection of all students, parents are generally not permitted to view CCTV footage. In the event of a serious injury or behavior incident, parents may contact their division principal if they wish to view CCTV footage. Parents may only view CCTV footage in the presence of a school administrative team member. CCTV footage is the private property of CISH and is protected by personal information privacy laws. Parents may not request a copy of CCTV footage nor use a recording device to capture video, audio, or images of the CCTV footage while viewing it. Please note that not all incidents may be clearly captured by the CCTV cameras on campus, and the school administration will make decisions regarding incidents based on other evidence in such cases.
