About CISH
The Canadian International School of Hefei is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).
IB World Schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering challenging, high quality programs of international education that share a powerful vision.
In addition to the IB programmes, CISH offers an English-based, Canadian curriculum from the province of New Brunswick. CISH graduates receive Canadian (New Brunswick) High School Diplomas, and they are readily accepted to universities worldwide with an CISH transcript of marks.
As well as being affiliated with the Canadian Province of New Brunswick’s Department of Education, CISH is accredited by Cognia and in the process of becoming fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). CISH is a member of the Association of Chinese and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS). CISH is also an examining site for SAT and HSK.

A Message from the Chairman
Dear Students and Parents,
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Canadian International School of Hefei. We have students from all around the world; I am sure you will feel right at home here.
We provide a unique educational experience for children in Early Years to High School by devoting all of our efforts to our strong mission, philosophy, and culture on a daily basis. As you will realize from reading this website, our goal is to provide our diverse student body with exceptional education, instilling in young people a love of learning, the ability to think independently, and the confidence to pursue their dreams and goals. The CISH student body now represents more than 30 nationalities. To do that for our students, we offer an extraordinary academic and extracurricular program with high standards, we support each of our students as they work to reach the goals we set for them.
It is with great pride that I serve as the Chairman of the AKD Board, which oversees CISH. I believe in the education we offer at CISH, just as I believe in our faculty and our students. CISH CAMPUS
Our state-of-the-art campus on Wenqu Road in the High-Tech Zone of Hefei, China, is a place where students can learn in a nurturing and safe environment. The environmentally friendly facility houses a separate early years building, a main school building and residence buildings.
All classrooms have wireless connectivity, complete with interactive and mobile learning resources. There is a 500-seat auditorium, fully equipped science labs, art and music centers for dance and instrumental performances, and separate libraries for the early years and main school buildings. Our athletics program has a 200-meter outdoor track, a soccer field, a fitness center, a spacious indoor gymnasium and a multi-purpose outdoor court.
