Donavan is currently the MYP Personal Project Coordinator as well as the Duke of Edinburgh International Award program Coordinator . He grew up In South Africa and moved to the UK in 2002 where he gained his Master’s Degree in Coaching Science at the University of Wales in 2006. He has also obtained his Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) through the University of Nottingham. He is an ex-professional rugby player, having played for Western Province, Cardiff Blues, Doncaster Knights and the Barbarians. 

Donavan and his wife, Debra have 3 children: Caleb, their daughter Riley and their youngest son Eli and they all attend CISH. Debra is also the G3 teacher at CISH. They have really enjoyed their time in China thus far and look forward to seeing more of the country and experiencing its wonderful culture. He is very excited to be part of a pioneering team of educators at CISH and hopes to contribute positively to the lives of the students at CISH on all fronts.
