MYP Summer Reading 2018

On Wednesday, September 12, 2018 the On Wednesday, September 12, 2018 the MYP students who successfully completed CISH’s 2018 Summer Reading program celebrated their achievement with a delicious BBQ. We had fantastic participation this year with our highest number of MYP students successfully participating in the program. A very special thanks goes out to Chris Marionni for actively getting our EAL students to participate.

The students had to read at least two substantial texts over the Summer holiday and produce a project for each text that demonstrated that they read and understood the text they read.

Here is a list of students who successfully completed the program:

Grade 6: Coco Cheng, Astro Hung, Chloe Lee, Taewon Lee, York Su, Jessica Jung , James Chen, Nicholas Guang, and Rory Gleeson

Grade 7: Nydia Wang, William Chen, Arthur Chen,Vincent Lin, Orren Tsai, Iris Wang, James Yu, Amy Zhang, Harry Kim, and Harold Heo

Grade 8: Brian Wang, Harry Chen, Hugo Yeh, William Zhu, Yvonne Ho, Andy Zhang, Benjamin Chan

Grade 9: Praew Soratiwa, Luna Kim, Nicky Kwon

Grade 10: Sasithon Chaisanghan, Neil Chen

This consistent development for a love of reading will be encouraged throughout this academic year across all disciplines. It will be one of the main focuses this year at CISH.

Once again, I would like to personally congratulate all the students who completed our MYP English Summer Reading Program and I look forward to seeing all of our students consistently develop their reading skills throughout the academic year.
