DP Information Evening

Hosted at CISH, 24 January 2019

For some of our students at CISH, they will 2019 will mark the end of their MYP journey, and the beginning of a new challenge; the IB Diploma Programme.  Over the next few months, important decisions will need to be made regarding which courses they’ll study for their grade 11 and 12 school years.  Last night, Mr. Mark (DP Coordinator), Ms. Thompson (University Career Counsellor and DP Core Teacher), Ms. Jin (IB Director), and Ms. Kim (DP Korean Language A Teacher) presented information regarding the program as a whole, specific requirements for success in the program, options for pathways of study at CISH, and university requirements per country in English, Mandarin, and Korean.  In March, students and parents will face the important decision of selecting the six courses they will study for the following two years.  Also discussed was the process of university applications, and how that differs for the DP predicted grades at the end of grade 11 and the New Brunswick courses of study.  CISH is pleased to be able to offer a range of courses and options of study to meet the needs of our diverse student population.
