The annual AMC took place at CISH on Saturday 21 September 2019
The Australian Mathematical Union (AMT) was founded by the famous Australian mathematician Peter O'Halloran. The aim of the AMT is to enrich the mathematics education content of students at all stages and provide more advanced mathematical ideas, theoretical developments and educational resources.
AMC is currently a long-established international gold medal intercollegiate mathematics competition with a total of 14.5 million students from 32 countries participating in the event. The questions aim allow Maths enthusiasts around the world learn and have a deep understanding of the importance of Mathematics in life.
With this in mind, 50 of our students arrived to celebrate Mathematics and put their skills to the test. In preparation for the competition, CISH Mathematics teachers used previous competition papers to prepare the students for the type of questions they could expect and how to use the scantron answer sheets. We look forward to the results that will be available in 6 weeks.
