David Turnbull
Department Head of Language and Literature
David Turnbull is a MYP and DP English Language and Literature teacher. He was born in Toronto, Canada, but grew up on the frosty cold plains of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. David received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen’s University in 2014 and his Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University in 2015. He has experience teaching as a volunteer educator in Slovakia, as a student teacher in Toronto and as an IB Theatre Art teacher at Bahrain Bayan School in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
David is incredibly excited to be working as the head of the English department at CISH. He loves living in China and teaching IB MYP and DP English Language and Literature. He is involved in theatre as an extracurricular and is currently doing his best to learn Mandarin.
