It is with great pleasure that I join this school community. I was born and raised in near Hamilton Ontario in Canada. I received my H.BA from Trent University in History with a minor in Psychology and my B.Ed from Lakehead University. I am certified in Ontario to teach all grade levels.

I have recently completed my M.Ed at Brock University in Social and Cultural Contexts in Education. My studies focused on anti-racism/anti-oppression curriculum, international education, and language identities. It is my goal to support students as emergent multilingual speakers and creating their own unique identities.

I have taught in various locations and contexts in China. I taught children aged 4 to 12 in Nanjing EAL for two years. I taught high school social studies, economics and business for three years in Tianjin. In addition, while in Tianjin, I held the position of Registrar at my school organizing grades, exams, and the school schedule. I have also taught in Kuwait and Canada

In my free time, I love to read and cook. I have set myself the goal of reading 50 books a year for the last few years. However, to reach my goal, I must count dry academic books I read for my studies.

I am greatly looking forward to joining this school community and contributing to making it a wonderful place for students and their families.
